2007 and later models are equipped with a Body Control Module (BCM) that functions as a controller for many different systems. The BCM controls windshield wiper and washer signals, rear fog lights, the rear tail lights auto system, the auto-light system, the daytime running lights (DRL), the interior warning systems (seat belt, parking brake, etc.), the power window delay time, power door locks, security systems, and front/rear AJC heating controls. Have the BCM diagnosed by a dealer service department or other qualified auto repair facility. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. On 2009 and earlier models, remove the ashtray, then remove the two screws behind it. On 2010 and later models, pry out the lower center trim panel, then remove the A/C Switch mounting screws. Use a plastic trim tool or a screwdriver wrapped with electrical tape to pry the top of the panel out. Pull the assembly out slightly and disconnect all electrical connectors for the A/C Switch. The A/C Switch can be separated from its panel by removing the screws that are accessible from the rear of the panel. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Run the engine and check for proper functioning of the heater and air conditioning.
