Remove the drivebelt from the compressor and disconnect the electrical connector. Next, disconnect the refrigerant lines and seal the ends to prevent contamination. Unbolt the compressor and lower it from the vehicle. If installing a new compressor, follow the provided directions for proper oil level. During installation, replace any O-rings with new ones made for the purpose and lubricate them with refrigerant oil. Finally, have the system evacuated, recharged, and leak tested by the shop that discharged the refrigerant.
