To replace the accumulator/Receiver-drier on models ranging from 1986-1989 and 1995 onwards use a receiver-drier, while 1990-1994 models use an accumulator. For 1986-1999 models, removal involves unplugging the pressure switch connector, detaching the refrigerant lines, and removing the accumulator or receiver-drier. Installation requires fitting new O-rings on the lines, lubricating them, and installing them. Replacement involves replacing the desiccant bag, removing the condenser, unscrewing the threaded plug, and removing the filter and old desiccant bag. The system should be evacuated, recharged, and leak-tested after installation.
