Weak oil or lock lubricant should be applied to the hinges and latch assemblies of the doors, hood, and trunk (or liftgate) every 3,000 miles or every three months by putting a few drops. Also, the door latch strikers should be greased with a thin layer of grease in a bid to reduce on wear and increase efficiency when in use. The door and trunk (or liftgate) locks must be lubricated using the spray-on graphite lubricant.
