About Hyundai Veloster

The Hyundai Veloster was introduced on January 10, 2011, at the Detroit Auto Show. It fills the void left by the Hyundai Tiburon. It has not been on the market since the 2008 model year. The HND-3 is the third sports concept car to be developed at the Hyundai Design and Engineering Center. It features a four-cylinder DOHC engine from the Theta series and a five-speed automatic transmission. In 2011, the concept car became the Hyundai Veloster Coupe. The prototype was unveiled at the 2007 Seoul Motor Show. The final production version was unveiled on January 11 at the Detroit Auto Show. The Hyundai Veloster codenamed FS is based on a modified version of the front-wheel-drive Cee'd platform.
Two optional equipment packages are available in the U.S.: a styling package and a technology package. The technology package requires the purchase of the styling package. There are no optional extras, so there are three trim levels: the base, the styling package, and the technology package. Each trim level is available with DCT or manual transmission. European models do not feature any technology or styling packages. They are divided into two trim levels: the Coupe and Coupe Sport. The cars are available with a six-speed manual transmission and an optional DCT automatic transmission in the European market.

The Turbo also features new exterior details, such as LED headlights, enlarged dual tailpipes, side skirts, a significantly enlarged radiator grille, and Turbo badging. It has optional equipment such as a push-button engine start. The Rally Edition is a 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo 1.6 Gamma TCi GDi with a 6-speed manual transmission. The car features Rally Edition matte blue paint and carbon fiber front panels on the exterior. The most striking feature is the metal roof. It reduces weight compared to the standard Turbo's panoramic glass roof. Like the standard Turbo, the Rally Edition has a matte radiator grille. All second-generation Hyundai Veloster models now incorporate the multi-link axle and torque vectoring control as standard. Previously, first-generation non-turbocharged models were equipped with torque vectoring rear axles. The 2019 Hyundai Veloster N will be the first N model sold in North America. It will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. And an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission was announced in 2020.
In August 2020, the company will cease production of all models in Canada for unknown reasons. In July 2021, the company announced that it would discontinue production of all Veloster models in the U.S. except the high-performance N model in 2022. Instead, it focused on its most popular products. It is the sportiest model in the Hyundai Veloster lineup. But the high-performance N model was the only version of the Veloster until 2022. With 275 hp and excellent handling, it is a car that can be driven in the city or on winding roads. Its unique three-door design also makes it slightly more practical than a traditional two-door coupe.
