How to remove and install a power steering pump on Hyundai Accent?

Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Loosen the tension on the pump drivebelt and remove the belt. Using a suction gun, remove as much fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible. Place a drain pan under the vehicle to catch any fluid that may spill out when the hoses are disconnected. Disconnect the pressure and return lines from the pump. Unbolt the high pressure line bracket from the pump. Remove the mounting bolts from the pump and detach the pump from the vehicle. On 1995 and later models, disconnect the pressure switch electrical connector. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Be sure to adjust the power steering pump drivebelt tension and top up the power steering fluid reservoir. Bleed the power steering system.
