Start by disconnecting the battery's negative terminal. Loosen the throttle body air intake duct clamp and remove the duct. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle cam, and the kick down cable or idle switch as applicable. Disconnect the wiring from the throttle position sensor and idle speed control motor. Disconnect the vacuum hose(s) from the throttle body, marking them for reassembly. Remove the throttle body from the intake manifold, discarding the old gasket. For newer models, remove the coolant hoses connected to the throttle body. To install, position the new gasket, tighten the retaining bolts, reconnect the vacuum hose(s) and wiring, and connect the accelerator cable to the throttle cam. Reconnect the air intake duct and battery. Reconnect any coolant hoses. Adjust the accelerator cable and kick-down cable if necessary, and check the engine coolant level.
