This procedure applies strictly to the models of the
Timing Belt only. First, disconnect or remove the timing cover, timing belt and camshaft timing belt sprocket. Subsequently, you have to take out the old cam seal with the help of a seal removal tool. Now, free the oil seal bore, and making sure it is clean, place its lip on the end of the camshaft after applying engine oil as a lubricant to the new camshaft oil seal. Lower the seal onto the nose end of the camshaft until the seal is flush with the seal bore and square to the bottom of the bore. Inserting a socket with an outside diameter a bit smaller than that of the seal, it is possible to drive in a new seal to the point where it is installed symmetrically and hammered in to the same depth as the first one. If a socket is not available then a short burst of steel pipe can be used as well on the ram.Last step, fit the camshaft timing belt sprocket, timing belt and the timing cover back to its position.
