Hyundai Excel Door Lock helps to secure the cabin from unwanted entry and also to keep the doors firmly shut while driving. Early Excel models featured a simple key-operated Door Lock cylinder that was connected by rods to the latch. Turning the key or pushing the inner knob would prevent the exterior handle from operating. As Hyundai refined the line, power Door Lock systems appeared, which featured an electric actuator controlled by a dash or driver side master switch that allowed every latch to snap closed with the push of a button.
