  Q: How do you remove and install the Fuel Level Sensor and Fuel Pump?

  A: To remove the rear seat, cut the carpet and padding below it to access the Fuel Tank. Remove the fuel pump/fuel level sensor floor service hole cover and disconnect the wiring. Relieve the fuel system pressure and disconnect the fuel lines. Remove the retaining bolts and carefully lift the fuel pump/fuel level sensor assembly from the fuel tank. Inspect and clean the fuel pump inlet strainer if necessary. Installation is the reverse of removal.

  Q: How do you replace the fuel pump/fuel level sending unit assembly in a fuel tank?

  A: After removing the fuel pump/fuel level sensor from the tank, you can replace the entire assembly or individual parts. Drain residual gasoline and place it on a clean, well-ventilated workbench. Check the strainer for clogging and replace if necessary. Unclip the fuel pump from the assembly. Reassemble in reverse order and reinstall in the fuel tank.
