To remove the control arm, you need to follow these steps: 1. Start by loosening the wheel lug nuts and raising the vehicle on jackstands. 2. Remove the front wheels. 3. Detach the stabilizer bar link from the control arm. 4. On older models, remove the strut bar-to-control arm bolts and nuts, as well as the other balljoint-to-control arm bolt and nut. 5. Pry the control arm from the crossmember. 6. On newer models, remove the balljoint to control arm bolts and the rear pivot bushing clamp. 7. Remove the front mounting shaft bolts and bracket to separate the control arm from the chassis. 8. For 1995 and later models, separate the balljoint from the steering knuckle and remove the rear pivot bushing clamp and front pivot bolt nut. 9. On 2006 and later models, unbolt the balljoint from the steering knuckle and remove the rear control arm bushing bolt and front control arm bushing bolt.
