Leave one of the rear wheel lug nuts slightly loose, then support the rear of the vehicle with jack stands and raise it before removing one of the rear wheels. If required, remove some of the exhaust system hangers to get the space required followed by removal of the Sway Bar links from the bar. Remove the Sway Bar Kit by unbolting the sway bar bushing retainers, then uninstall the bushings; note the positions. Examine the bushings as to hardness, wear, distortion, cracking, other signs of wear and replace if necessary, examine the links of the Sway Bar Kit for loose ball studs. Scrub the places at the bar that the bushings run with a wire brush. Then lubricate the inside and outside of the new bushings in vegetable oil, but not ones that are petroleum or mineral based, or brake fluid as they will corrode the bushings. Lastly, installation is done in a sequence opposite to that established during removal.
