To replace the A/C Accumulator on early models, a certified technician must discharge the refrigerant, disconnect the tube, and remove it. Add 40 cc of refrigerant oil before installing the new A/C Accumulator. Replace the O-rings on the tubes and lubricate them. For late models, remove the condenser, detach the bottom cap of the A/C Accumulator, and remove the desiccant. New desiccant, O-rings, and a bottom cap should be used during installation. For all models, the system should be evacuated, charged, and leak tested by a professional.

When installing the receiver-drier, make sure to install new O-rings on the refrigerant line fittings and lubricate them with clean refrigerant oil. If a new receiver-drier is installed, add the correct amount and type of refrigerant oil to the system.
