Hyundai 28510-23430 Exhaust Manifold Assembly

To remove the exhaust manifold heat shield, first remove the heat shield bolts. For 1996 through 2000 models, detach the heat shield from the exhaust manifold by removing seven bolts, including two bolts on the right side of the shield that are not visible in the photo. For 2001 and later models, simply remove the bolts and then take off the exhaust heat shield. Inspect the heat shield bolts for damage and corrosion, and replace them if they are rusted or damaged.
