Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. The blower unit is located under the dash and behind the glovebox on front-mounted units and behind the rear quarter trim panel on rear-mounted units. For front-mounted blower motors, open the glove compartment and disconnect the support cord. Push inward on its sides to lower the door fully. Remove the dash panel at the right of the glove compartment by removing the screw, then pulling it rearward. Remove the glove compartment inner frame screws and the screw to the right of the glove compartment opening. Remove the glove compartment door screws and remove the door. Remove the blower/evaporator mounting bolts and remove the blower motor. If the motor is being replaced, transfer the fan to the new motor prior to installation. Installation is the reverse of removal. Check for proper operation. For rear-mounted blower motors, remove the right-rear quarter trim panel and the rear wheel guard. Remove the blower motor connector and the blower mounting bolts. Remove the blower motor from the heating/ventilation unit. Installation is the reverse of removal. Check for proper operation.
