To remove the radio, first disconnect the negative battery cable, then take off the instrument panel center bezel. Next, remove the mounting screws and pull the radio out of the instrument panel, disconnecting the electrical connectors and
Antenna lead before fully removing the radio from the vehicle. For front speakers, start by removing the front door trim panel, then take out the speaker retaining bolts, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the speaker. Note that on 2011 and later models, the tweeter speakers are mounted on the back side of the door panel. For rear speakers, on 2007 and later models, they are located in the doors, while on 2006 and earlier sedans, they are found under the package tray behind the rear seat. To access them, remove the seats and high mounted stop light, then detach the package tray panel to reach the mounting screws. In station wagon models, the rear speakers are in the cargo area; remove the screws and detach the covers for access. Finally, remove the speaker retaining screws, disconnect the electrical connector, and take out the speaker, with installation being the reverse of removal for all components.
