To add or remove the outside mirrors first, then take off the mirror trim panel by using a panel removing tool or the flat head of a screwdriver that is taped to avoid scratching the paint of the panel as it can be easily popped off. Third, unbend the electrical connector of the mirror, and undo the three bolts that pin the mirror into the car and then slowly slide it out of the car and held by gripping it from the open window. To uninstall it, perform the steps in the opposite way of how the installation was performed. Another thing that needs to be done for the inside mirror is to disconnect connector, if it exist. In some models, gently insert the blade of the screwdriver under the mirror mount and the notch at the base of the mirror stalk and open it to release the hairpin type spring engaged on the stalk. In other models, un-screw the set screw located at the base of the mirror stalk. In cases that there is no set screw, re-attach the spring if it was replaced and adjust the mirror stalk lug into the mount then press down till in place securely. If the mount plate is lost on the windshield, there are adhesive kits available in auto parts store and proper instruction regarding it is also provided.
