How to remove and reinstall the Center Console Base on Hyundai Santa Fe?

First, unscrew the side trim covers at the front of the console, observe the side cover screws on each side. Following that, using a screwdriver pull out the retaining screws which are situated at the interior of the console and can be accessed by lifting carpet at the bottom of the storage, for 2007 and later models there are five screws and a bolt at the center console, one of the screw/ is located at the side of the passenger seat. Next, you remove two screws situated at the front part of the shifter handle and separate it, while the button must properly engage with the shift during reassembling; if the button is replaced, it should be in the same position. Subsequent to that, raise the console. For installation: The opposite applies to the removal process; while installing the handle, push the button part in to align it to the end of the cable.
