Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the steering wheel along with the upper and lower steering column covers. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the switch by unplugging the wiring from the turn signal switch. For 2007 and later models, push the lock pin to release the headlight and turn signal switch, and the other lock pin to release the windshield wiper switch from the steering column. Remove the switch. Installation is the reverse of removal. If the clockspring has turned and is not centered, turn the hub in either direction until it stops without applying too much force. Then, rotate the hub in the opposite direction, counting the number of turns to reach the opposite stop. Divide that number by two, and turn the hub back approximately that many turns until the neutral position indicator aligns with its corresponding mark.
