How to add an additional master car key if a master key has been lost on Hyundai Sonata?

This procedure is used for adding an additional master key if a master key has been lost. It is necessary to have the ID key, identified by the Hyundai logo, to perform this procedure. If the ID key is lost, the procedure must be completed at a dealer service department or a repair shop equipped with a Hi-Scan diagnostic tool. For 2011 and later models, a Hi-Scan diagnostic tool is required to program the key(s) to the system. First, place the ID key into the ignition lock cylinder and turn it to the On position, then to the Off position. Within ten seconds, insert the key to be added into the ignition lock cylinder and turn it to the On position, then to the Off position; the new key is now registered to work with the immobilizer system. If another key needs to be added, repeat the previous step, noting that only two master keys can be registered.
