How to remove and install the intercooler in a Hyundai Sonata?

Unplug the cable from the negative battery terminal. Take out the air inlet duct and filter housing. Disconnect the intercooler inlet and outlet hoses. Remove the battery and battery tray. Lift the vehicle and support it firmly on jackstands. Remove the lower engine covers, turbocharger oil feed and drain pipes. Remove the intercooler bracket mounting bolts and bracket. Remove the air deflector fasteners and remove the air deflector from the front of the intercooler. Lift the intercooler up and out of the engine compartment. Installation is the reverse of removal.
