Some models contain anti-theft radios. Ensure you have the activation code before performing a process that entails battery disconnection. Remove the negative battery terminal cable. Taking off engine cover if there is one then unplug the electrical connector from the ignition coil(s). For 2010 and prior 1.8L and 2012 and prior 2.0L models, pull out spark plug wires from coils. The bolt that secures the coil assembly to the engine should be removed in order to remove these two bolts. For 2010 and prior 1.8L and 2012 and prior 2.0L models, take out coil assembly On all other engines including but not limited to; 1.4L, 1.6L, for certain years or later models of this car such as; etc., grip the being detached tightly then pull it away from corresponding plug wire contacts on top of cylinder head cover Installation is covered by reverse installation pointers above.
