Wear gloves when working inside the door openings to protect against cuts from sharp metal edges. For 2006 and earlier models, begin by removing the door trim panel and the plastic watershield, followed by the window glass assembly. For power-operated windows, disconnect the electrical connector from the window regulator motor, then remove the regulator assembly mounting bolts and pull the regulator assembly through the service hole in the door frame. Installation is the reverse of removal. For 2007 through 2016 models, excluding 2013 through 2017 GT models, the door module must be removed for access to the window regulator. Start by removing the door window glass and the outside handle, then remove the screw from under the front of the outside handle. Next, take out the bolts and screws from the door module panel, disconnect the wiring harnesses from the door module, and lift it off. Remove the regulator assembly from the inside of the door module, with installation being the reverse of removal. For 2017 and later models, as well as 2013 through 2017 GT models, caution is advised as the side impact sensor is mounted to the door module; avoid dropping or hitting the module while it is removed. The window regulator is integral to the door module, so if there is a problem with the regulator, the door module must be replaced. Start by removing the door panel and disconnecting the
Door Handle assembly from it, then remove the outside door handle and the handle base bolt. Disconnect the two main electrical harness connectors from the module, remove the three door latch mounting screws from the end of the door, and take out the door module mounting bolts to remove the module from the door. Installation is the reverse of removal.
