For cars that have air conditioning systems, you will have to drop down the left electric cooling fan. Power steering models might need you to unfasten power steering pump in order to reach the alternator. Lift up the car and remove front wheels and splash shields.Disengage alternator lower mounting pivot bolt and upper adjustment lockbolt by turning back on adjustment bolt for releasing drivebelt.Remove rubber covers from alternator terminals and disconnect wiring at rear side of this component.Unscrew alternator mounting bolts with washers then pull it aside away from its brackets.When installing a new one, confirm that it matches with your old item regarding terminals and identification number if present.Rebuild pulley when necessary then do opposite procedure tightening the bolts of attaching generator.If you suspect its malfunctioning let experts check it before having any repairs done.
