Before this you should turn the steering until the wheels face the front while the key is in the ignition turn it to the off position you also remove the cable from negative terminal of the battery. Models from 1999 to 2005: unbolt the side covers from the steering wheel and then take out the airbag module retaining Torx screws. Taking caution not to disturb the wiring, remove the airbag module off the steering wheel-column connection and remove the electrical connectors, noting how the safety latches are loosened before disconnecting. Put the airbag with the pad side facing upward in a safe place. It would be wise to scratch alignment marks for right reassembly on the steering shaft and on the hub before eradicating the nut and unwiring the horn connection. First try to shake the rim of the steering wheel to attempt the removal of the wheel; in any case, apply a steering wheel puller without hammering. Slide the wheel from the column making sure that the wires pass via the latter. Where it concerns installation the front wheels should be in a straight ahead position without any deviation. After the position of the gear hub has been aligned to a stopped position, twist it to the opposite direction and turn the nut in order to figure out the number of turns to neutral. Once you realign the mark on the steering
Wheel Hub with that on the shaft, drop in the wheel and screw the nut until you achieve the specified pound feud. Connect the electrical connectors for the air bag module and any other one if they are required and ensure the electrical module connectors are locked. Last but not least, properly secure the airbag module with the help of the retaining screws to the recommended torque; reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
