    1. Remove both boot clamps and discard them. 2. Slide the boot away from the outer race. 3. Pry the wire ring bearing retainer from the CV joint housing. 4. Pull the CV joint housing off the inner bearing assembly. 5. Remove the snap-ring from the axleshaft and slide the inner race off. 6. Make index marks for correct alignment during reassembly. 7. Pry the ball bearings from the cage and remove the cage.
