  Q: How to troubleshoot and replace the coolant temperature sending unit?

  A: Before removing the receiver/drier, discharge and recover the system at a dealer. For 2006 and earlier models, the receiver/drier is on the right side of the condenser. Access it by removing the upper radiator grille and unplugging the dual-pressure switch. Unplug the refrigerant lines from the receiver/drier and condenser. Please take off the mounting bracket and detach it. For 2007 and later models, remove the condenser. Use a hex wrench to remove the bottom cap from the receiver-drier and pull out the desiccant. Clean all components, replace the desiccant, and install a new O-ring and air conditioner oil. Install new O-rings on the refrigerant line fittings and lubricate them, then add the correct refrigerant oil to the new receiver-drier.
