Hyundai Excel Brake Light Switch

The Hyundai Excel Brake Light Switch is the component that activates the rear brake lights when the driver presses the pedal, ensuring that the traffic behind is warned of the car slowing down. The Brake Light Switch is mounted on a bracket under the dashboard and aligned to the brake pedal arm. The electric circuit for the bulbs opens or closes in response to the movement of the pedal. Due to this straightforward mechanical operation and absence of any sophisticated electronics, the Hyundai Excel Brake Light Switch is considered a reliable unit. The factory adhered to this plunger-style design throughout the production run, so any Excel built with left- or right-hand drive relies on the same simple Brake Light Switch location and operation, keeping parts common and repairs easy. Replacing a Brake Light Switch will ensure that the pedal continues to activate bright brake lamps during heavy traffic or bad weather. Through the commonality of layout, model operators are able to make a fast diagnosis while Hyundai owners are aware that just one little switch upfront secures everyone behind.

If you are looking for affordable high-quality OEM Hyundai Excel Brake Light Switch, then you have come to the prime place. Our website provides a large amount of genuine Hyundai Excel Brake Light Switch at unbeatable prices. All our parts come backed with the manufacturer's warranty.

Hyundai Excel Brake Light Switch Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How toremove the Brake Light Switch on Hyundai Excel?
    A:
To remove the lower dash panel trim under the steering column, locate the brake light switch mounted at the top of the left side Brake Pedal support. Unplug the switch wiring from the electrical connector. For 2011 and earlier models, unscrew the locknut and switch from its bracket. For 2012 and later models, pull down the locking tab and rotate the switch counterclockwise to remove it from the bracket. Depress the brake pedal, insert the switch into the pedal bracket, and rotate it clockwise. Slowly allow the pedal to contact the switch, which will automatically adjust to the proper gap. Installation is the reverse of removal.
