Hyundai Excel Steering Shaft

Hyundai Excel Steering Shaft allows your hand movement to transmit directly into the wheel and gives the car its precise, confident feel. Connecting the steering wheel to the rack or gearbox, this Steering Shaft is a robust link that transmits every turn of the wheel to the front tires and stabilizes the assembly as a whole. Lubrication inside the Steering Shaft also reduces vibration. Each generation of Excel is designed to be simple and strong, using a steel column designed to rotate freely inside its housing and universal joints that compensate for angle change so input remains smooth even over bumps. The Hyundai Steering Shaft is a part that owners become quite familiar with in terms of noise. A healthy unit will prevent wandering and keep cornering predictable. Any clunking noises or delayed response in the wheel in an Excel suggest wear and tear inside the part that needs urgent attention. No alternative styles were introduced for the model so that drivers through the years benefit from the same simple layout. Regular checks keep the Steering Shaft ready to maintain the responsive character that defines Hyundai Excel steering performance, reinforcing the reputation of Hyundai for dependable control.

If you are looking for affordable high-quality OEM Hyundai Excel Steering Shaft, then you have come to the prime place. Our website provides a large amount of genuine Hyundai Excel Steering Shaft at unbeatable prices. All our parts come backed with the manufacturer's warranty.

Hyundai Excel Steering Shaft Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install the Steering Shaft on Hyundai Excel?
    A:
Turn the front wheels to the straight ahead position. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery and, on models equipped with an airbag, wait at least one minute before proceeding. Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Make alignment marks on the upper universal joint, the steering shaft, the lower universal joint and the steering gear input shaft. Make alignment marks on the intermediate shaft and the steering column shaft, do the same to the other end of the intermediate shaft, at the steering gear Input shaft. Remove the upper and lower universal joint pinch bolts. Remove the three dust cover bolts, which fasten the dust cover to the inner firewall, and pull the cover into the driver's compartment. Pry the intermediate shaft universal joint off the steering gear input shaft. Separate the shaft from the steering column and pull the assembly into the driver's compartment. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Be sure to align the marks and tighten the pinch bolts to the torque.
