How to remove and install the knock sensor on Hyundai Sonata?

For the four cylinder models and V6 models right from 1999 to 2005, the knock sensor will be found on the front side of the engine block. Therefore, start by removing the cable that connects with the negative terminal of the battery. On 2011 and later four-cylinder models the intake manifold must be disassembled uninterruptible air flow. Third, remove the knock sensor electrical connector and remove the knock sensor mounting bolt; and vice versa for installation. Starting from the 2006 model year V6 engine, the knock sensors are mounted in the valley and are barely visible; the intake manifold has to be removed to gain access to these sensors. It is advised to begin with the removal of the cable from the negative terminal of the battery as well as the removal of the upper and lower intake manifolds of the cable. Remove the electrical connector(s) from the knock sensor(s) and take off the wiring harness retainers from the block of the engine. Tighten or loosen any sensor mounting bolt(s) or disconnect the sensor(s), layout of a sensor is made in the reverse order of its removal.
